Delaware City River Corporation launched in Philadelphia in 1995 when the vision for the North Delaware Riverfront began to take shape. Over the years, and through the efforts of many, the dream of transforming once neglected post-industrial landscapes into usable community space has come to life and continues to grow. With DRCC in place to implement the Greenway Plan and significant portions of the 11-mile trail complete, DRCC engaged Finch Brands to rebrand the organization and Greenway to elevate the public profile of the Delaware waterfront.

How We Got There

We crafted a new brand architecture both for Greenway and the organization.

Through interviews, surveys, and focus groups with neighborhood residents and partner organizations, we developed the core elements of the brand message and seeds of the identity. The message, reflected in the tagline, is that the Riverfront North trail connects people to the river and to each other.

Projected for 2022: Riverfront Park in Bridesburg, K&T Trail, Tacony-Holmesburg Trail, and Delaware Avenue extensions all open to public, creating a continuous 11-mile Greenway of parks and trails along the Delaware River, stretching from Port Richmond, Philadelphia to Torresdale.

Name, Logo, and Tagline

DRCC transformed into Riverfront North Partnership - all speaking to the core idea of connection - connecting parks and trails to one another, connecting neighborhoods to the waterfront, and members of the community to one another.

Logo Guide

The style guide enables the team to manage the brand with power and consistency.

PowerPoint Template

With the new look of RNP, we created a presentation template to support fundraising and partnership development.

Signage

We created an entire signage system from scratch to be used throughout the parks and trails that make up Riverfront North.

Web Design

We recreated their website to reflect the new brand, including a new icon set to promote contemporary and cohesive communications.
