B2B Marketing Associate Director
Finch Brands is seeking a strategic, hands-on B2B Marketing Associate Director to lead and advance our integrated marketing efforts. This role will begin with a defined and approved 2027 marketing strategy and budget already in place. The immediate mandate is not to recreate the plan, but to activate it strategically: translating priorities into an integrated roadmap, sequencing the work, mobilizing the right internal and external resources, and ensuring disciplined execution against the business outcomes the plan is designed to deliver.
You will help Finch Brands reach and engage senior business audiences, including CIOs and insights leaders for our Insights Communities practice, as well as private equity firms and portfolio company leaders for our M&A brand strategy work. You will determine where to focus, shape the story we take to market, and ensure strong execution across content, thought leadership, LinkedIn, email, search, AI discovery, events, webinars, and the website.
The B2B Marketing Associate Director will serve as a senior marketing partner to Finch leadership, business development, subject matter experts, designers, and external agencies. The ideal candidate combines strategic judgment with a willingness to execute, brings exceptional B2B writing and editorial instincts, and is fluent in HubSpot, performance measurement, SEO, and emerging approaches to Generative Engine Optimization and AI search visibility.

Marketing Strategy and Integrated Planning
- Activate the approved 2027 marketing strategy and budget, converting the plan into clear workstreams, sequencing, ownership, milestones, partner briefs, and measurable outcomes.
- Own the strategic activation and ongoing evolution of Finch’s B2B marketing plan, preserving alignment to the approved 2027 strategy and budget while adapting intelligently as performance, market conditions, and business priorities evolve.
- Translate business priorities into clear audience strategies, campaign plans, messages, content themes, channel choices, budgets, and measures of success.
- Advise senior leaders on where marketing can create the greatest impact, including what to prioritize, stop, test, or scale.
- Lead quarterly planning and performance reviews, using data and market signals to recommend shifts in investment and activity.
- Coordinate internal contributors and external partners to deliver an integrated, high-quality marketing program with clear ownership and accountability.
Content, Positioning, and Thought Leadership
- Set the editorial and thought leadership strategy for Finch Brands and its priority practices, ensuring content reinforces differentiated positioning and supports the buyer journey.
- Partner with Finch leaders and subject matter experts to identify strong points of view and turn research, presentations, client work, conversations, and emerging trends into compelling B2B content.
- Lead the development and editorial quality of LinkedIn content, executive thought leadership, articles, case studies, newsletters, webinars, landing pages, sales enablement, and proprietary research.
- Create a repeatable content engine that efficiently repurposes high-value ideas across channels and formats without sacrificing quality or distinctiveness.
- Ensure all content reflects Finch’s voice, standards, business priorities, and the needs of senior decision-makers.
Website, SEO, GEO, and AI Search
- Own the strategic roadmap for Finch’s website visibility and content performance across traditional search, Google AI Overviews, answer engines, and generative AI platforms.
- Serve as the primary internal partner to Finch’s external SEO/GEO agency, setting priorities, providing business context, pressure-testing recommendations, and ensuring agreed actions are implemented.
- Stay actively informed on developments in SEO, generative search, answer engines, and discovery behavior, translating changes into clear implications and actions for Finch.
- Identify and prioritize opportunities for original research, authoritative content, structured content, third-party signals, technical improvements, and website enhancements that strengthen discoverability and conversion.
- Establish a disciplined content refresh and optimization program based on performance, priority buyer questions, competitive gaps, and AI citation potential.
- Track visibility and performance, periodically summarizing what is changing, what matters for Finch, and what the business should do next.
Demand Generation, HubSpot, and Marketing Operations
- Lead campaign strategy and execution in HubSpot, including audience segmentation, email, landing pages, forms, workflows, nurture programs, lead capture, routing, and reporting.
- Partner with business development to define priority audiences, strengthen campaign follow-up, improve lead quality, and connect marketing activity to pipeline progression.
- Establish and maintain campaign architecture, naming conventions, lifecycle stages, attribution practices, UTM standards, and CRM data quality.
- Build dashboards and reporting that connect channel performance to meaningful business outcomes, not simply activity metrics.
- Use performance data to optimize messaging, content, conversion paths, channel mix, and investment.
Trade Shows, Webinars, and Executive Events
- Set the strategy and lead planning for Finch’s trade shows, webinars, executive events, and sponsorships, including approximately six to eight industry events each year.
- Define the role of each event in the broader growth plan, with clear target audiences, messages, engagement strategies, content capture, follow-up plans, budgets, and success measures.
- Lead cross-functional coordination across internal stakeholders, speakers, vendors, designers, event organizers, and business-development colleagues.
- Continuously improve how Finch shows up through stronger messaging, experiences, thought leadership, creative activation, and post-event conversion.
- Conduct post-program reviews and make evidence-based recommendations about what to repeat, change, expand, or discontinue.
Team, Partner, and Creative Leadership
- Provide clear direction, briefs, feedback, and quality standards to internal contributors, designers, freelancers, and agency partners.
- Manage external partner scopes, priorities, timelines, deliverables, and budgets, ensuring the work advances Finch’s strategy and meets expectations.
- Develop scalable processes, templates, and operating rhythms that improve speed, consistency, visibility, and accountability across marketing.
- Support and coach more junior marketing resources as the function grows, while remaining willing to personally draft, edit, build, and troubleshoot when needed.
- Serve as a steward of Finch’s brand and help evolve how the firm presents itself across every marketing touchpoint.
Required Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in marketing, communications, business, journalism, English, or a related field, or equivalent relevant experience.
- Approximately seven to ten years of progressive B2B marketing experience, including significant ownership of integrated programs in professional services, consulting, research, technology, financial services, or another complex business environment.
- Demonstrated ability to develop marketing strategy and personally drive execution across content, digital, email, social, events, and demand generation.
- Exceptional writing, editing, positioning, and message-development skills for executive and senior business audiences.
- Advanced hands-on experience with HubSpot Marketing Hub, including segmentation, campaigns, automation, landing pages, forms, reporting, and CRM integration.
- Strong knowledge of LinkedIn strategy and executive thought leadership, with an understanding of how company and individual voices work together.
- Working expertise in SEO and a strong, current understanding of GEO, AEO, AI search visibility, and emerging digital discovery practices.
- Demonstrated experience using analytics and performance data to make recommendations, allocate resources, and improve outcomes.
- Experience leading agencies, vendors, and cross-functional stakeholders without relying solely on formal authority.
- Strong project leadership, prioritization, budget management, and quality-control skills across multiple concurrent initiatives.
- Executive presence and comfort advising, challenging, and collaborating with senior leaders and subject matter experts.
- Ability to operate independently in a primarily remote environment with high ownership, sound judgment, and proactive communication.
