Social Goods is a women-owned, sister-run small business based in NYC. Merging their shared experiences in politics, fashion and social impact, Kate and Lisa created Social Goods to allow conscious consumers to shop the causes they care about, while finding more ways to take action even after their initial purchase.
Kate has worked at the intersection of policy, technology, and social good for her entire career including for 7 years at Google. There she helped launch Grow with Google, their largest social responsibility initiative to date, and led global programs for Google’s Politics & Elections efforts in over 50 countries. Before Google, she focused on digital strategy for political campaigns and nonprofits including leading Hillary Clinton’s social media for her 2008 presidential.
Lisa has over 15 years of fashion and merchandising experience reaching across both retail and wholesale. After beginning her career in the Fashion Office at Bergdorf Goodman, Lisa became a buyer at Saks Fifth Avenue where she was responsible for the designer and emerging women’s shoe business. Most recently, she was Senior Director of Sales, Buying and Merchandising for Current/Elliott and Equipment, two leading women’s contemporary brands.
Kate and Lisa are proud Ohioans and currently live in New York City… one block apart.
