In 2020 alone, Amazi Foods has sourced from close to 300 farmers in Uganda, 55% of which were women, paid farmers upwards of 68% above market price, and created over 30 jobs for local youth. Renee’s company fulfills the needs of the consumers in the US: consumers with plant-based diets looking for products with unique flavors made by a brand that serves a higher purpose. She connects the ingenuity, drive, and bounty of Uganda with the American consumers who crave both good food AND story.
