Insights Sales Development Representative
Finch Brands seeks an experienced, high-energy Sales Development Representative to help us grow our insights and strategy business. This role is responsible for generating qualified opportunities through proactive outreach, strong messaging, and disciplined follow-through. You will work closely with the VP of Business Development and internal research teams to translate our capabilities into compelling conversations that convert to new business.
Pipeline Generation
- Prospect and generate new leads across the United States through cold outreach, outbound email, LinkedIn, and other targeted tactics.
- Qualify inbound and outbound leads and schedule sales calls.
- Meet and exceed KPIs related to outreach activity, lead generation, and opportunity progression.
- Maintain accurate CRM records in HubSpot.
- Stay informed on industry trends and the competitive landscape to effectively communicate Finch’s value proposition.
- Engage with the Community and Insights teams; participate in internal trainings and act as a liaison with the research group.
Messaging & Proposal Support (Strategic Layer)
- Collaborate with sales leadership to refine messaging for senior stakeholders across industries.
- Develop persuasive written content including outreach messaging, pitch materials, and proposal contributions.
- Translate research methodologies and strategic approaches into clear, compelling narratives.
Understand, manage and/or contract resourcing, sample, recruitment, platform, facility incentive cost drivers with 3rd party suppliers.
- Manage proposal creation – creating timelines and content requirements, leveraging resources (internal and 3rd party) while continually improving the process. Leverage research expertise to define right insight methodology in partnership with leadership and bring that to life (proposal and pitch) to win new business.
Qualifications and Characteristics
- 1–3 years of experience in sales, business development, or client-facing roles. Experience in market research or insights is a plus. Researchers interested in transitioning into sales are encouraged to apply.
- Exceptional written and verbal communication skills with the ability to simplify complex ideas into clear, persuasive messaging. – all with attention to detail.
- Demonstrated resilience, determination, and a strong work ethic with a growth mindset.
- Comfort with outbound prospecting, cold outreach, and proactive business development; persistence in engaging senior stakeholders.
- Self-motivated, detail-oriented, organized, dependable, with integrity; capable of working independently in a remote environment.

- Ability to build relationships and collaborate with internal teams; comfortable learning from and contributing to cross-functional initiatives.
