Champions of Purposeful Change™ Podcast
Our podcast has an evolved! Real-world Branding is now Champions of Purposeful Change.
As many of you know, we were early movers in podcasting – and launched ours in 2015. While there are over 100 episodes in the vault, we’ve decided to give our podcast a fresh perspective and get back to a monthly schedule.
Our refreshed podcast, Champions of Purposeful Change, will spotlight Insights thought leaders and change-makers. Each monthly interview will highlight career journeys, share stories, and center the impact of Insights on activating the full potential of brands and businesses!
Bill Gullan:
Greetings friends, and welcome to Champions of Purposeful Change. I’m Bill Gullan. I’m the president of Finch Brands. We’re a premier boutique brand consultancy, and welcome to the new generation, the new iteration of our podcast. We’re not new to podcasting. We started in 2014 or 15. We have over 100 episodes, so we’re not one of those “Everybody needs a podcast,” folks who are trying to glom on. We’ve been doing it for a while, but in the early years, really our focus was to bring interesting brand and business stories. The podcast was called Real World Branding. It was an interesting mix of clients and friends, folks from our network who had been founders or leaders of businesses across categories who we thought had interesting stories to tell. And over the years we’re proud of our output, though we were inconsistent. It’s nobody’s full-time job here, but we love doing it.
But I think over the past couple of years, we’ve really been drawn to the insights world. We’ve become ever deeper as a service provider in that world. And across the shows that we visited, events that we’ve participated in, we’ve really been struck by the power and interest of leading thinkers in the insights realm. And in many ways feel like these are folks who, while maybe not as visible as those in the C-suite, are the ones really driving positive change and having impact within organizations. They’re closest to the customer. They’re relied upon across their organizations for the insights, the data, the research that helps brands and businesses truly grow and thrive and do new things. And so as we relaunch under this banner of Champions of Purposeful Change, we can’t think of a better function or set of skills to elevate and to center than insights and folks who work on innovations within the insights realm and beyond.
And so that’s what we’re going to do. Moving forward at regular intervals, we hope monthly, we’re going to bring forth interviews with insights and innovation leaders who really are having impact. Who are, as the podcast is called, champions of purposeful change, within their organizations and who are help driving philosophies forward, methodologies forward, helping bring new products and new ideas to market, helping build ever deeper relationships between brand and customer. That’s one of the reasons why I’m wearing my David Bowie Rebel Rebel hoodie today. These folks may not be rebels in the traditional sense, but they really are champions of purposeful change within their organizations. And so I hope you’ll join us as we bring Champions of Purposeful Change to Market, a podcast that talks about insights and impact in helping activate the full potential of brands and businesses. Hope you’ll hear us soon.
