Project Manager

Position Overview

The Project Manager position at Finch Brands acts as a member of the Brand Strategy team to provide support in the development and management of multiple projects and respective details through to completion.

Project managers play a key role on the team by ensuring projects are on track for success through proactive internal and client communication, strong attention to detail, and supporting the needs of projects to ensure overall team success.

Finch Brands works with clients across a wide variety of industries to help them build successful businesses and brands. As a Project Manager, you’ll have the opportunity to play an integral role in the company, continue to build hands-on experience in the world of a business and brand-building firm, and an opportunity to impact the company on various levels.

Job Responsibilities

Quality of Work

  • Help drive the work through the brand strategy, insights, and design teams to meet the evolving needs of the client.
  • Professional assessment of the final work output to ensure it meets the needs of the project, the client, and Finch standards.
  • Keep detailed records of the life of a project and share information to internal and external team members, as necessary.
  • Begin to practice a high degree of excellence in the quality of our work.

External Process Management

  • Manage administrative duties related to initiating new projects, project timelines, etc.
  • Participate in client meetings and brainstorming sessions, as applicable, especially for high complexity projects.
  • Document meetings (where participating), and progress toward project completion.
  • Recruiting/scheduling for online qualitative interviews/focus groups.
  • Partner with business leadership to determine resource needs for estimates.

Internal Process Management

  • Learn and help define Finch Brands’ processes.
  • Gain an understanding of what our clients need, and when.
  • Assist in proactively guiding projects through the internal system.
  • Begin to engage in contingency planning and recommend solutions.
  • Learn to identify “watchouts” or red flags that could impact originally set parameters.
  • Work together with the internal team for scheduling, timelines, design resources, and other resources.
  • Develop, maintain, and share project timelines internally and externally.

Required Experience and Skills:
  • Bachelor's Degree in Marketing, Communications, Advertising, Social Sciences, Business Administration/Management or other related discipline required.
  • 2-3 years' experience working in project management, marketing, communications, or strategy-related position within a design consultancy or a consumer product goods company desired.
  • Proficiency in MS Office and project management tools like Monday.com or MS Project
  • Organization, initiative, and attention to detail are critical.
