Director of Sales & Marketing

Finch Brands, a real-world brand consultancy, seeks an experienced, high-energy Director of Sales & Marketing to help us continue to grow across our range of services. We seek to help brands win when it matters most by listening (via market research), planning (via brand strategy), and engaging (via design and other forms of activation) across our clients’ employees and customers. As champions of purposeful change, we must proactively attract the right prospects and successfully convert them into leads.

This role is responsible for the ‘top of the funnel’ – deploying lead generation and marketing strategies to help Finch Brands grow. While well-supported with business development and marketing teammates, this person must understand what it takes to attract, nurture and convert leads through the right marketing touch points and activities to fill the pipeline. The entire company has aggressive growth goals, and this position is no different.

Specific responsibilities include:

  • Overseeing the development of a winning lead gen approach for the sales team to execute
  • Overseeing the development and highest potential deployment of our various marketing tactics (such as SEO, content, trade shows, etc.)
  • Coaching and developing both business development and marketing staff
  • Managing the marketing budget, partner roster, and calendar

Finch Brands will be heavily invested in this person’s success. We have a broad-based marketing program that will help fuel demand (this role will shape), and our leaders will be available and engaged when it comes to pitches, thought leadership activities, and beyond.

Required Experience and Skills:
  • 5+ years’ experience and a proven track record of helping win clients in a knowledge-based category (consulting, design, market research, etc.)
  • A demonstrated ability to both build and execute sales & marketing plans
  • Deep curiosity about business, people, and culture
  • Strong communication and storytelling skills
  • Smart financial management, a profit focus, and growth mindset
  • Ability to perform at a high level and multi-task in a VERY fast-paced environment
