Designer

Finch Brands, a real-world brand consultancy, is seeking a Designer to assist with brand creation. In this position, the Designer will use elements like typography and photography to expertly create both print and digital designs. In this role, the candidate will collaborate with the VP of Design and the Director of Creative Strategy to transition from creative idea to creative activation. The role will report to the VP of Design.

What you’ll do:

  • Collaborate
    Closely partner with DCS & VP of Design to manage and execute creative deliverables while collaborating directly with the creative and strategy teams.
  • Create
    Generate highly effective logos, creative concepts, brand collateral, packaging, and lead the design of websites based in UX principles.
  • Communicate
    Regularly work with other designers to convey creative ideas that meet specific strategic objectives and ‘sell’ them to internal teams and clients.

Required Experience and Skills:
  • Knowledge of design techniques, tools, and principles
  • Must be able to design from concept to completion of projects
  • Track record of powerful design (both print and digital) grounded in strategy
  • Ability to perform, problem-solve, and manage multiple priorities in a very fast-paced environment
  • Self-motivated, organized, and accountable
  • Can take the lead on projects and own them, start to finish
  • Impeccable communication skills, including the ability to articulate creative concepts and explain rationale to other team members and clients.
  • 4+ years of relevant experience in creative / brand development fields
  • Web design skills. Experience in Sketch/Figma a plus
  • Strong UX/UI knowledge
  • A portfolio of creative work that showcases both print and digital
  • Solid understanding of the creative workflow
  • Well versed in Adobe Creative Suite (Illustrator, InDesign, and Photoshop). After Effects a plus
