Consumer Research Operations Intern

Position Overview

The Consumer Research Operations Intern position is responsible for supporting the team members within Finch Brands’ Insights Community function. This team supports brand consulting projects with excellent primary research and analysis, while also delivering fantastic insights and client experience for FinchSight community research clients. 

The Consumer Research Intern plays a key role in this team by conducting data analysis, QAing research approaches and deliverables, and managing the member experience for FinchSight community members. 

This role can be client-facing at times and will give interns exposure to a variety of market research projects and approaches, including qualitative and quantitative research techniques, as well as insights community-based research. 

This role must be able to come in (virtually) 5 days per week. This is a paid internship. Training will be provided for analysis and surveying tools. 

Main duties: 

  • Responding to and troubleshooting with members of FinchSight research communities 
  • Managing the distribution of rewards/incentives to FinchSight community members 
  • Tracking and projecting member engagement and reward/incentive costs 
  • Tracking community composition and managing community member refresh recruits 
  • Maintaining a vibrant and inclusive community 
  • Fielding and tracking research studies 
  • QAing research instruments and deliverables 
  • Aiding with data analysis, data manipulation, response coding, charting

Required Experience and Skills:
  • Candidates will have recently received or be on the track toward a degree in Business/Management, Marketing/Branding/Advertising, Math/Statistics, or Sociology. Interest in market research, branding, innovation, and business is a must.
  • Proficiency in MS Word and MS Excel- including data manipulation, formulas, lookups, and formatting, and MS PowerPoint, including formatting and chart creation. Knowledge of SPSS, MarketSight, or other data analysis tools is not necessary, but will be considered.
  • Organization, initiative, and attention to detail are critical.
