Accounting and Operations Coordinator

Finch Brands, a real-world brand consultancy, is seeking a passionate and detail-oriented team player to manage assorted accounting and operational tasks in a vibrant, high energy and very friendly work environment. Reporting into the Accounting Manager, this team member will spend the majority of his / her time administering to the accounting function, but will also have the opportunity to coordinate other administrative functions.

We are looking for candidates with 2 to 3 years of accounting experience.

The role will be accountable for the following:


Provide ongoing accounting support and assistance with general ledger duties including A/R; A/P; Cash & CC Transactions; Month-End Close; & Tax Compliance:

  • Accounts Receivable – Maintain responsibility for all client invoicing & collection efforts; Ensure proper accounting & reconciliation of revenue activity vs. Annual Sheet (Ops reporting); Post daily cash receipts & distribute weekly A/R aging reports to management team
  • Accounts Payable – Maintain responsibility for all vendor invoicing and management of payment deadlines throughout the month; Accurately record & track Hard Cost (COGS) expenses on a client/project basis; Ensure all check distributions and ACH payments take place in a timely manner
  • Month-End Close – Provide ongoing support to Accounting Manager in preparing monthly financial statements, including Balance sheet and P&L. Assist in presenting results and explanations for GL-account activity related to Reimbursable Expenses; Ensure all company credit card transactions are properly accounted for and reconciled vs. PNC account statement.
  • Tax Compliance – Provide support to Accounting Manager by ensuring all necessary client/vendor documentation is accurately maintained; Request updated W-9 and 1099 information as needed per federal, state, & local tax requirements


  • Manage outside IT support
  • Coordinate and keep track of office contracts and subscriptions
  • Support the new hire process, including making sure all documentation is shared and signed, new hires have the equipment they need, and they are up and running on our system
  • Oversee intern hiring process and manage workflow
  • Facilitate execution and proper filing for client contracts
  • Manage storage and organization of SharePoint
  • Assist account managers and account directors with various tasks

Required Experience and Skills:
  • Strong computer skills and, specifically, experience with QuickBooks
