Director of Research Communities

Position Description:
Finch Brands, a premier boutique branding agency, is seeking an insights leader to direct all aspects of our FinchSight research community offering.

With almost 20 years of experience providing custom primary marketing research to clients across sizes and categories, we saw an opportunity to increase the power and efficiency of client research programs. This led to the development of our proprietary private insights community offering – FinchSight.

Having launched the offering, we now seek to place a Director to manage its growth and execution. Given the importance of FinchSight to both the company and our clients, this is a visible and fast-paced position.

Director of Research Communities will:
• Manage the execution and profitability of the community work stream, becoming a trusted advisor to clients and leader of internal workflow.

• Assist in the selling and marketing of the offering, contributing compelling written and verbal thought leadership content and helping to pitch new clients.

• Maintain relationships with key partners such as our technology platform vendor and recruitment resources.

• Provide ongoing training and encouragement to Finch Brands team members as we build a world class community practice.

The ideal candidate will bring to Finch Brands:
• 7-10 years of consumer insights experience, including exposure to the principles and management of research communities. Prior hands on experience managing research communities is strongly preferred.

• A proven ability to turn data into genuine insight that helps to activate the full potential of brands and businesses.

• Digital and technology savvy with an understanding of and experience with social media, specifically chat rooms, blogs, networking sites, etc.

• Superior writing skills – both creative and expository – with an ability to develop and present fresh ideas within an online environment.

• Strong interpersonal skills that result in collaborative, trusting, successful relationships with colleagues, clients, partners, and beyond.

• A fully actualized professional personality and diverse workplace skill set.
