Accounting Manager

Position Description:
The Accounting Manager reports directly to the CEO and is responsible for managing all aspects of the general ledger, payroll, reporting, human resource and administrative functions of Finch Brands. The Accounting Manager must have a bachelor’s degree in accounting with advanced bookkeeping experience. The person must demonstrate excellent communication skills with the ability to handle a fast pace environment and prioritize tasks – and must be prepared to enjoy the workplace more so than any accountant in the history of the world.

Main Duties: Accounting:
• Manage day-to-day accounting operations, including accounts payable and receivable, general ledger entries and payroll administration through our 3rd party payroll provider
• Account review and analysis
• Prepare month end reporting and ad-hoc reports
• Provide outside accountants with year-end support
• 1099 Reporting
• Sales tax reporting
• Budget analysis and prep

Main Duties: Administrative and Human Resources:
• Create new internal accounting and HR corporate policies and maintain existing policies
• Prepare new hire packages
• New employee benefits orientation
• General administration to the benefits program
• Manage Administrative Coordinator on office-management related tasks
• Annual census reports for Medical/Dental/Workers Comp and various
• Process new hire / terminations
• 401k prep for payroll
• 401K annual census reports
Qualifications:
• Bachelor’s Degree in Accounting or Finance required
• 3+ years working in an accounting leadership role
• Proficiency in MS Word and MS Excel – including data manipulation, formulas, lookups, and formatting, and MS PowerPoint, including formatting and chart creation. Knowledge of Peachtree, now Sage 50, accounting software is not necessary, but is a huge plus
• Organization, initiative, and attention to detail are critical
